Structure and profile of SA LR Services

SA LR Services, is led by Allan Bolt. Allan qualified in 1989 with a Social Sciences Degree, from the University of KZN, specialising in Industrial Psychology, Industrial Sociology and Business Administration.  He also attended UNISA where he complimented his degree with studies in Law.  Allan has more than 30 years’ experience in Human Resources and Labour Relations and has been attending the CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration), representing employers, since the CCMA opened its doors in 1997. In this time, he has attended more than 2000 Conciliation or Arbitration cases at the CCMA. Allan is well known at the CCMA offices in Durban, Pietermaritzburg, and Cape Town, where he has established a reputation for fairness and legal accuracy, and a keen negotiator.  

Allan has Diane Bicik (B Social Sciences – Honours in Industrial Psychology), as Senior Consulting support to clients and together with a small team of Consultants (Mishka Chunilall, Norman Bowker, Murray Stewart and Portia Khumalo) they provide a comprehensive response to any clients HR requirements. Murray Stewart, an experienced and reputable Attorney, provides representation to clients at CCMA and the Bargaining Council, and if required at the Labour Court as well. Jane Mundell provides the financial and administrative support to the team to ensure that monies are received, monies are spent, and documentation is delivered

Mishka Chunilall

Mishka obtained a National Diploma in Engineering but was very quickly involved in the human aspect of the construction industry. She has 5 years’ experience being at the coal face of industrial relations  ensuring compliance across all aspects including HR Administration, Health and Safety and Discipline.

Norman Bowker

Norman has more than 30 years’ experience in Human Resources within a large corporate structure. In this time he has obtained extensive exposure on; conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, work place conflict, change management and HR Administration.

Murray Stewart

Murray is a practicing attorney in South Africa and a former Prosecutor with the National Prosecuting Authority. He has 20 years forensic  investigative experience in the public and private sector. He has conducted several high-profile forensic assignments as Global Head of Forensics for Sasol Limited, an International Oil & Gas Company, listed on both the New York and Johannesburg Stock Exchanges. Prior to joining KPMG Risk Consulting as a Director in Dubai, he was an attorney, equity Partner and Head of Forensics at Eversheds South Africa. Murray was Director of Business Ethics & Compliance for Dubai Petroleum responsible for corporate governance, legal and regulatory compliance

Murray headed the KPMG Lower Gulf Dispute Advisory Division and is experienced in the provision of dispute resolution reports and testimony.

He has arbitration, litigation, and other dispute resolution experience, gained whilst practicing as an attorney and is familiar with an adversarial system and the rigours of cross-examination

Portia Khumalo

Portia is the Occupational Health Specialist in association with SA LR Services. A woman who is passionate about the safety of employees and their place of work. She qualified in 2014 with a National Diploma in Environmental Health and then took this further with a BTech degree in Environmental Health finishing in 2018. She then immediately competed her internship with the National Sugar Association. She has also worked for the Department of Health and done extensive community work assisting in an ex-mineworkers project. Portia is a vibrant and enthusiastic member of our team.

Setting up and Maintaining OHS structures within client operations to ensure compliance

Attending on site investigations on behalf of clients. 

Jane Mundell  – Admin and Client Liaison (0815976343)

Jane is our Financial Administrator. She is a qualified accountant with significant experience within the finance services arena. Jane has as her primary function the processing of accounts, following up on monies due and financial compliance for the business. Jane will also assist in attending to pre-employment and credit checks, as well the administration behind Employment Equity.
